Dakota Prairie Seniors from yesterday's mock election.

Today, our senior government students took their civic engagement to the next level! 🗳️ They researched candidates and ballot measures, presented their findings to teachers and students in the gym, and wrapped up with a school-wide mock election. Proud of our seniors for stepping up and making an impact. Way to go!

Thank you to Jessica and Peggy from ND Job Service for speaking with our seniors about career readiness! They introduced resources for resumes, job searching, and paying for college. One standout program, WOIA, offers up to $16,000 in college funding for students pursuing careers from an extensive list of high-demand majors—including teaching, IT, dental assisting, engineering, airplane mechanics, culinary arts, cosmetology, law enforcement, and more!
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to kick-start their career paths!

Join us for our elementary Veterans Day Concert this Friday at 1:00 PM

Congrats to our Accelerated Reader winners for October!

The Army recruiters visited during lunch and a few students took on the challenge to compete in a push-up competition.

Our construction tech class had a hands-on learning experience, thanks to Leading Edge! They shared cutting-edge advancements in their machinery and even brought a Gator equipped with some impressive new tech. Special shoutout to Preston Brossart, a 2024 grad, who took Mr. Hovdenes for a spin around Petersburg to “test” out the features! 🚙💨
Students also got an inside look at how John Deere supports farmers by using GPS to locate equipment and remotely accessing tractor computers to keep things running smoothly.

9th Grade students gathered in McVille for the 2024 NCHS Scrubs Camp, diving into essential healthcare skills! They learned how to evaluate vaccinations and discovered the life-saving importance of CPR in critical care situations. Thank you to everyone who made this experience possible—our future healthcare heroes are off to a great start!

Our FCCLA brought smiles to students and staff with fun-themed socks from a special fundraiser in support of GiGi’s Playhouse, an amazing organization dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome. Together, we’re stepping up for inclusion, awareness, and wellbeing! 🧦✨

🎃👻 Halloween Fun at DP Elementary👻🎃
Our elementary students and staff had an amazing Halloween filled with creativity and fun! Costumes galore and a staff pumpkin decorating contest judged by our very own students brought out everyone’s talent and spirit. 🎨✨

Yesterday, Tyler Cree-Beglau represented Dakota Prairie at state cross country in Jamestown, ND. Tyler finished 241 out of 327 runners on a notoriously tough course. We are proud of Tyler making to state and representing Dakota Prairie on and off the field! Way to go, TCB!

Our 10th graders attended the annual North Valley Career Expo at the Alerus Center, joining over 1,500 students from around the region! 🌟 This high-energy, immersive event is packed with hands-on experiences and insights into high-demand careers, including HVAC, linework, firefighting, engineering, postal services, and more.
