Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our continued commitment to transparency, we’re providing an important update regarding the PowerSchool cybersecurity incident that occurred in December 2024.
PowerSchool has recently informed us that the individual(s) believed to be responsible for the incident have attempted to contact school districts in other states, pressuring recipients for payment using data obtained during the breach. If you receive a message of this nature, do not respond. Instead, please report it to us immediately.
We take this matter very seriously and continue to monitor the situation closely. PowerSchool is working with leading cybersecurity experts and law enforcement agencies in both the United States and Canada to thoroughly investigate and address the incident.
As a reminder, complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services are available for two years to those affected. This includes educators and current or former students from North Dakota school districts who may not have received the initial incident notification from PowerSchool.
To enroll in these services, please visit the following website by July 31, 2025:
If you have additional questions, PowerSchool has established a dedicated support center. You can reach them at 833-918-9464, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Time.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to protect student and staff information.
Sincerely,
Corey Mock
CIO, NDIT

Dakota Prairie had two winners- Gracie and Lily. Congratulations!
Matthew from NDLTAP and Cameron Swenson, Nelson County Commissioner came to present them with their awards and discuss the importance of keeping the signs safe and being a Sign Warrior.

The kids had a great time and were able to take home a 50 cent piece and some cool sunglasses, too!
Thanks to all at the bank for a great time.
