This month is reading month at the elementary. The theme is "Race to Candy Castle." Students are encouraged to read more to boost the benefits of reading, all while helping their class move across the school game board.

There are weekly challenges to help move game pieces through the board:
Week 1: Peppermint Forest- Read books with brave or cool characters.
Week 2: Gumdrop Mountains- Read a book with magic or adventure.
Week 3: Lollipop Woods- Read something beautifully illustrated.
Week 4: Chocolate Swamp- Read something you’ve been avoiding—biography, nonfiction, a longer story, etc.

Please help your child find time to read and encourage good reading habits.

Even though we love to have our students in school, keep your child at home if they are sick; let the school offices know if your child is not going to be at school.

Let's stop the spread of sickness this season!
