Dakota Prairie Trap Team

The Dakota Prairie Trap Team is looking for interested students to come shoot Trap this fall. We shoot at the Pekin Gun Club just west of Pekin, ND. Shooting for Fall league will start Sunday, September 7th this year. Fall league will run for 6 weeks. We also are looking for kids interested in shooting Skeet and 5-stand which is done also on Sundays but is shot in Valley City, ND, also on Sunday afternoons. Please contact the coaches with any questions you may have. If you are not sure if you will like it, please contact us and feel free to come out and try it this fall just for fun.

Dakota Prairie Trap Team

Attention 6th Grade Students and Parents

The Dakota Prairie Trap Team invites the 6th grade students to come and try the sprot of Trap shooting this fall. We invite all 6th grade students that are interested to join us this fall on Sundays to tray the sport of trap shooting. there is no cost to the student, and we have firearms available for you to use. this is simply to let you try trap shooting and see if you are interested in the sport. We shoot Sunday mornings starting around 9 am at the gun range just west of Pekin, ND. We hope to see you there for some fun this fall. Any questions can be directed to the coaches at the below listed numbers.

Shooting is expected to start Sunday, Sept. 7th.

5th and 6th grade girls basketball will begin soon. Students must have a physical done and turned into the office before the first practice. Picture forms will be sent home on the first day of school.

If you have not heard from your bus driver by Friday, August 15th, please contact the school office. School starts on Wednesday, August 20th. Online registration needs to be completed by the first day of school!

We took the following 7 kids to Nationals: Keegen Gjovik, Sig Halvorson, Brandi Schock, Brenden Lenz, Brianna Sharp, Jayla Sharp and Riggen Halvorson
The team shot a 441/500 for a final placement of 199/264 Teams

The 3 following kids shot individuals at Nationals also: Keegen Gjovik, Brandi Schock, and Brianna Sharp.
Individual Results:
Keegen Gjovik shot a 93/100 and placed 683/1480 males
Brandi Schock shot 90/100 and placed 144/290 females
Brianna Sharp shot 86/100 and placed 221/290 females

Another accomplishment was the following kids shot a perfect 25/25 round at Nationals.
Sig Halvorson, Brandi Schock, Brianna Sharp, Keegen Gjovik

We are very proud of what these kids have accomplished and look forward to going back to national competition in the future.
