We are grateful to our teachers and support staff at Dakota Prairie.

The 4th Grade were treated to a special presentation of Native American Traditions by Kevin Dauphinais, Sean Dauphinais and Jennifer Rusten.
Kevin talked about their ceremonies, the importance of the circle and the drum. We started with a prayer song for our friend Liam, then learned how to circle dance with a partner and then as a group. We had a great day listening to Kevin and Sean sing with the drum and dancing along.
Jennifer dressed in her traditional Ribbon skirt brought her knowledge as well as some fry bread and Wojapi, which is a thick Juneberry pudding, the consistency of sauce.
We are so blessed by these special people to bring alive what we read about in our Native American Books.
